| Welcome To The James Keirstead Studio Website.
I have been meandering back and forth across Canada for 40 years, collecting impressions and painting everday scenes of Canadian life. My wife, Robere, and I live and work in our studio-gallery-home which borders the Rideau Canal at Kingston, Ontario.  | We are busy with our nine grandchildren, three godchildren and our 2 dogs. After leaving the OPP in 1965 I painted and exhibited across Canada and the U.S.A. I have held over 120 one-man shows, some with major galleries in Toronto, New York, Montreal and Vancouver. My originals hang in over 1000 private and corporate collections. |
I have also produced over 200 prints, seventeen collector plates and three books on my art. We show both originals and a wide array of prints. Come and enjoy the art, the setting, my watermill and the gardens.
